Don and Debbie are longtime residents of Shasta County with a passion to support and give back to the community they love. Through a donation of real property to the Shasta Regional Community Real Estate Foundation, this couple was able to seed a scholarship fund and fulfill their desire to help Shasta County youth pursue a college education. The Don and Debbie Bankson Scholarship Endowment Fund was established for the purpose of providing academic scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Shasta County. Scholarships are competitively awarded to students with excellent academics and a strong community-service background. Priority consideration is given to students who meet minimum service hours by volunteering at both Turtle Bay Exploration Park and the Behrens-Eaton House Museum.
